Balmung is a weapon obtainable in Hero 30. It is obtainable in Quest 25: Another Goddess (PSP) or Quest 26: Return of Hol (Quest 26).
In both stages, you must defeat the Niedenburg, although in under different circumstances as in Another Goddess, you must defeat all the other weapon guardians to fight Niedenburg while in Return of Hol, you must defeat the 2nd wave of tiger enemies but not enter Hol's castle. In Return of Hol, Niedenburg is immensely overpowered and cannot be beaten unless you have the dragon lance equipped.
